MATT FRENCH
Relentless in his pursuit of a human-scale dream project, Matt found his way to the Pioneertown Motel. A few years later, a late-night LoopNet search lead him to Captain Whibdey. And so the story goes.
Matt is the calculated explorer, the unfettered adventurer and the Life & Times dealmaker. He understands what it takes to make a project sing and is always there to execute.
He can be found hiking in Pioneertown or fixing up a fancy salad in Santa Teresa.
ERIC CHEONG
Weaving creative ideas together from the slipstream, Eric helps shepherd projects with keen attention to detail and atmosphere. Trained as an architect, Eric is now principal of North 45 Projects, an interior design studio based in Portland, Oregon. Practicing for over 20 years, he’s helped helm acclaimed design firms Roman and Williams and Atelier Ace (Ace Hotels). Eric's hospitality experience and design expertise puts wind in the sails of Life & Times, and his hobby of sailing provides an endless source of maritime puns.
While he’s likely in the design studio or on Whidbey fine tuning the rigging, he could also be sailing the Columbia River or taking a hike in the woods with his family.
MIKE FRENCH
Whether meticulously curating the playlists at the Red Dog Saloon or obsessively authoring editorials for the Pioneertown Gazette, you can count on Mike to be carefully considering all aspects of guest experience.
When it comes to creating and selling a vibe, Mike steps up for Life & Times and connects the dots. Some say there is an intersection of comfort and excitement in hospitality— and that’s where you’ll find Mike.
